Took my Lexus GX470 to them for a transmission problem I was experiencing. I had purchased a warranty with the vehicle when I bought it just about 2 years ago and was right at the 2year/24,000 miles. Don took care of everything. Talked to the warranty company and within a couple weeks I had a new transmission put in! Thanks transmission specialists! Highly recommended them.

Slowwwwww. Took them over a month to replace my transmission when they said 2 weeks, max 3 weeks. I checked in at 2 weeks and they told me the replacement transmission wasn’t even it and it was going in following week. Next week happens and I had to call them to find out, “oh we made a mistake, that was someone ELSES transmission”. Okay? Great in the mean time I’m paying for a rental which because it was so long almost turned into a short term lease. The communication from these guys was horrible as they weren’t proactive with slip ups with my job. I’m more understanding if something goes sideways if you say something.... not wait until I get impatient enough to call. At the end of the day, they seemed to care about quality to run my car through its paces and make sure it’s correct. We’ll see if their warranty needs to be used in the future.

Sorry it took so long to get you vehicle done. That is not our normal operating procedure. Thanks for hanging in there with us.

Dropped off, easy a bit crowded in parking lot. They called me 4 hours later, I picked it up, price was below quote. Gave 4 stars as the lot was too crowded and mask requirment with screens made it impossible to hear or communicate with this hearing impaired customer, not really their fault.

I went to Transmission Specialist to have an independent look & inspection, as my SUV’s dealership was offering work-jobs that were unusually unexpected & also very expensive. The work solicited in question was a Torque Converter Seal Leak. Previous to this, I had recently gone to my SUV’s Infiniti dealership for a simple scheduled maintenance oil change at 57K. SUV is babied, has its own spot in my garage, well maintained. Despite its 57K miles 7 year old status, it’s like spanking brand new inside & out. It has had no major issues, and where its parked in the garage... has absolutely no stains. So, at the conclusion of my simple scheduled oil change visit with the Infiniti dealership, they surprised informed me the SUV needed a handful of work that “can be scheduled”. EFI clean-up ($248), clean of of EF systems ($268), 60K package ($1,499).... a “Torque Converter Seal Leak ($3,990). This did not sit well for me that night, and I reflected back on the multiple upsolds I had with Infiniti. I started researching reputable transmission service workshops in my community area. Transmission Specialist (TS) was recommended well in the internet. The following day, I gave a call to TS’, and a very kind accommodating gentleman, Don took my call, and we were able to discuss my predicament. I had the SUV scheduled with TS without hassle. Upon my first visit with them, they were very friendly, accommodating, and their front desk personnel Donna is very courteous and prompt. They took my SUV in, and assured me they were going to look into this with concern. After some hours, I had a very courteous callback message from Donna stating the car is done. I called back to find they are not charging me anything, as there was not anything they could see that would strongly validate a torque converter leak. They had thoroughly inspected, and had taken close-up pictures that they showed me. Additional discussion with one of their tech added reassurance to me, as he explained well the status of their find. I sincerely appreciate the honesty of TS. They are very easy to speak to. Beneath the veneer of outright professionalism, I also strongly sense a side of human care & understanding. I would greatly recommend this business, and it has earned my valued trust. -A.C., MD- Auburn, WA
